Sisters ~ Wicked!
I just came across a great blog site All about Sisters and being one myself I felt the need to spend sometime there. It was a really great read and made me reflect on my own sisters and our childhood.
I dont think there is anything quite like the bond of sisters…mind you, I have nothing to base this on as I dont have brothers. I am the youngest of the sisters (wicked ~ SW1 -4 and the explanation is a blog in itself) and I can certainly speak from my personal experience of the strong love, connection, bond…whatever you want to call it, we have.
There’s a gazillion memories that immediately come to mind that I could share and I’m sure about now they’re all hyper-ventilating as to which I’ll choose and who will be the most embarrassed! I figure I’ll actually leave those for another day, but today I’d like to share some photos…(yep…and that dreaded photo from dad’s wallet!…)
First off here’s a photo that doesnt even have me in it! Pretty rude I thought…although I guess it just means our parents were still waiting for the prettiest to be born! I came a little later

Taken sometime in 1960 (or there abouts) Ree, KD, Shen

From left SW2 Ree, SW4 Me, SW1 Shen, SW3 KD. I think that pics from about 1985 but who would know as it seems like its been in dads wallet forever!

1997 or there abouts (guessing from our clothes and the fact that none of us look like middle age spread has set in!)

Our most current photo taken at my sons wedding in April 2007. I think we scrub up ok for a combined age of over 200 years! lol Didn’t give anything away sis!
So to my sisters wicked…Love ya x

wow… what a blast from the past!! - oh and how glad am i that i didn’t get into all that big hair .. lol nice choice of photos but that is a lot of years between us. but the best thing - - how nice it is to reflect on what we had and what we still have, even if we sometimes forget to remember. love ya sw4 and 3 and of course sw1 xx
OMG! How cute was I when I was little! Shame it all went pear-shaped in middle age (me included…lol!) I have to agree, though, sis….having sisters like you, Ree and Shen has been better than anyone could wish for. Thank you, my Sisters’ Wicked and may our closeness and love for each other continue for many years to come. Stay cool and keep on blogging sis! You have a way of making me recall many happy memories; our childhood together especially.
Loves ya all!
I was an only child. I always wanted sisters and/or brothers. This is a wonderful share. You are all very fortunate.
And oh my the first two pictures are a blast from the past for me also!!:-)
